ROSEVILLE, Calif. (May 2, 2017) – The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East makes its return to Virginia’s South Boston Speedway this week after a six-year absence.
Most of the young drivers in the series will be getting their first look at the historic .4-mile track as the series stages a doubleheader, with twin 100s on Saturday.
There could be an advantage, however, in this being a first visit to the track, according to 16-year-old Todd Gilliland, who wheels the No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry for Bill McAnally Racing.
IRWINDALE, Calif. - It was a clean night at Irwindale Event Center. And that's just how Todd Gilliland wanted it.
Leading the field from pole, and hot off a win in the first NAPA Auto Parts Twin 100 feature, the 16-year-old from Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, held off a hard-charging Chris Eggleston to win for the third time in 2017 and 10th time in his NASCAR K&N Pro Series West career.

Winning a third straight pole in his No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota, Gilliland swept the show with the race to win the first twin event of the night. The victory stands as the 16-year-old's ninth NASCAR K&N Pro Series career victory and the Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, native's second of 2017 and second at Irwindale overall.
IRWINDALE, Calif. (March 25, 2017) – Todd Gilliland dominated the competition in sweeping a NASCAR K&N Pro Series West doubleheader at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday night, winning both of the twin NAPA 100s.

BAKERSFIELD , Calif. (March 23, 2017) – Todd Gilliland took the checkers in the NAPA AUTO PARTS 150 on Thursday night, winning the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at Kern County Raceway Park for a second straight year.

After leading the lone practice session, Gilliland backed the result up with the pole position during group qualifying at Kern County Raceway Park.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 19, 2017) – Fifteen-year-old Derek Kraus notched a third-place finish in his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East debut on Sunday, while an attempt by his Bill McAnally Racing teammate Todd Gilliland for a repeat win in the season opener at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway was derailed by a flat tire.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Todd Gilliland had a historic NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season.
The 16-year-old from Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, broke a couple records en route to his 2016 title.
The NASCAR Next driver kicked-off his season by matching a 50-year-old record set by Dan Gurney and then ended the season by becoming the youngest champion in NASCAR, both national and touring series, history with six wins, 11 top fives and 13 top 10s.
Gilliland’s road to the championship wasn't easy. Battling him throughout the entire season was K&N Pro Series West veteran Ryan Partridge. The 28-year-old Rancho Cucamonga, California, driver notched three wins, 10 top fives and 13 top 10s to challenge Gilliland for the title down to the very last race of the season.

In the last 15 years, McAnally won five of his record seven K&N West titles as a team owner. David Gilliland competed in 398 races in NASCAR’s three national series, including 332 in Sprint Cup. Lawson embraced the life of a crew chief.
All three men would help Todd Gilliland become NASCAR’s youngest champion.
David Gilliland has started to lay the foundation for his legacy.
The 40-year-old recently reached the end of his full-time NASCAR career but it was a darn good ride. He overcame a modest upbringing to last a full decade at the highest level. He’s a winner in the Xfinity Series and established an accurate reputation as one of the ‘good guys’ of the sport.
