Todd Gilliland turned some heads last fall at Myrtle Beach when he almost won the 100-lap Limited Late Model race before the big Late Model Stock Car show.  If he could redo that last restart of that race or run the “final play” in the big game then he’d likely win it.  Already having won this season at Ace Speedway (NC), Gilliland looks to have a bright future.

Pros: Has a solid family background and is learning at a steady pace that does not seemed rushed.

Cons: Carrying a NASCAR dad’s name may bring some extra fan and media attention his way.  He’s young, so he’ll have plenty of time to adjust to the spotlight and back up the attention that will come.
